The following is a notice from Kent County Council:

Weald Road, Sevenoaks - Emergency Road Closure - 4th August 2015 

It will be necessary to close Weald Road, Sevenoaks from 4th August 2015.

It is likely the road will be closed for up to 2 Days.

The road will be closed at A225 Tonbridge Road to Turners Gardens.

The alternative route is via Weald Road, Gracious Lane, A225 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.

This is to enable carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Calling all Amateur Photographers ...........

 

We are launching a competition called: 

'A Window on Weald'

to create a village calendar.

Open to all ages, it will run for 12 months from lst August 2014 - 30th July 2015 and the winning photos will also be produced on canvas and will hang permanently in the Memorial Hall.

WEALD ST. GEORGES 10K & FUN RUN

SUNDAY 6th SEPTEMBER

Entry Forms available from The Old Bakery, Weald or visit www.weald10k for Entry Form.

In addition to a Medal for every finisher there are prizes in the 10K for the first, second & third Male & Female. M40, M50, M60, F35, F45 & F55. First Male Team & First Female Team (3 to count). £50 prize to beat the course record (M - J. Atkinson 33:19; F - M.Heslop37:54). Fun Run Prizes: First Male & First Female Team prize (3 to count).

Fees: 10K - £13 Affiliated, £15 others, *£17 on the day.

Fun Run - £6 (*note: course limit is 425)

Dame Kelly Holmes has presented Medals & Prizes in four of our events since 2006 - hopefully she will be around again this year!
