A Meeting of Weald Parish Council will be held in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, 28th September, at 7.30 p.m. for the purpose of transacting the following business

"Fireworks and Bonfires"

 

 

 

The Weald Fireworks Committee run the annual bonfire and firework display to provide a splendid display and raise money for local groups.

Committee Members:  Andrew Adams, Guy Chatten, Alan Hindley, Matt Peacock

The committee is led by the 10th Sevenoaks (Weald’s Own) Scout Group.

 

The Committee welcomes and seeks volunteer help and financial support for the event.

 

Arrangements for 2016, our 18th year

 

Saturday 5 November

 

Torch procession will leave the Memorial Hall at 6.30pm

Wax torches will be available for sale to adults only, and battery operated lanterns for children.

 

Firework display bonfire and barbeque at the Scout Field, Glebe Road at 7.30pm

 

Tickets on sale at the Old Bakery from mid-October, or available on the night. Adults £7; Children (4 to 16 years) £3

 

Profits will be distributed to Weald Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, Weald Brownies, Girl Guides, Weald Wolves FC and Cameo.

Stalls will be run by all of these groups – except Cameo.  Additionally Weald Pre-school will run a stall.

Weald Primary School will run a competition at school for poster design.
