August updates from the Parish Council:

Bus service

The Parish Council, KCC and Arriva are continuing discussions in a bid to reinstate the 402 bus service. We hope to have more news in early September. If negotiations fail, KCC have agreed to look at the Go Coach service running through the village to see if this can be improved. The continued provision of a service through the village will be dependent on the service being used as much as possible.

Methodist Church

The Parish Council  is currently obtaining quotes to renovate the Methodist Church and anticipate all work being completed within the next 6 months (sooner if possible). We very much hope that this will become a new home to the Community Shop/cafe. The proposed renovations are necessary whatever the future use of the building be this shop or meeting room.

Repairs have now been completed and it is good to see that the playground continues to be so popular.
